The Universalist Church of West Hartford is seeking a part-time organist for our vibrant, growing church of 600 adult members. We are looking for a gifted professional musician who can continue to build on a tradition of excellent music as an integral part of worship. We have a well-established adult volunteer choir of 25 with paid soloists and section leaders. The organist must be skilled in organ performance. Broad-based musical experience should include classical, traditional, gospel, jazz, folk and contemporary art music. Candidate must be willing to work collaboratively with Choral Director, staff and lay leaders and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

We have two services on Sunday with weekday evening rehearsals. We have a magnificent 1963 three manual Austin Organ 2385; 45 ranks plus chimes. Foundations & Mixtures in all divisions. Solo reeds in each division; chorus reeds in swell division; viole w/celeste in swell; dolce w/celeste in positive; adjustable bench w/backrest.

Position is 10 hours per week. Audition will be required.
